James C. Godwin

Jim is an Animal Biologist with the Alabama Natural Heritage Program administered by the Auburn University Museum of Natural History. Jim received his masters degree from Auburn University under the guidance of Bob Mount. He has extensive conservation-oriented research throughout Alabama, concentrating on amphibians and reptiles, but including studies of other vertebrate groups as well. He is currently collaborating with Craig Guyer on repatriation of Eastern Indigo Snakes to the Conecuh National Forest and conservation planning for Gopher Tortoises within Alabama.
