Calling all animal lovers and competitors…
The March Mammal Madness bracket has arrived! Now is your time to learn more about the wonderful and diverse beasts in this year’s competition and predict who would be dominant should the paired species find themselves in the same location.
Please follow the fun on AU Museum of Natural History social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube). For instance, you can find a video describing how to play March Mammal Madness. The video includes an example of the play-by-play from last year, which will give you a better idea of how the competitions play out (they are fun and educational).
Check our social media sites every day this week and throughout March. We will post recorded interviews with species/taxon experts (your colleagues) describing the prospects of their favorite animal(s). First up, you’ll hear what grad student and resident copepod expert, Matt Powers, thinks the odds are for the planktonic copepod winning the tournament. We will also forward the outcomes of all of the matches.
BRACKETS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY MARCH 7TH.
Happy bracketing!
